History
The Gould family left Australia for Toledo, Ohio and brought with them a little piece of “home” to share with the United States.

From humble beginnings in a hot bakery, the Goulds made Australian Pocket Pies from a much-loved family recipe. The pies gained popularity. Regular customers loved the flaky pastry and oven-baked taste, but they also wanted convenience.

Taking heed to customer wishes, the Gould family began their manufacturing venture out of a beautiful church kitchen. They developed a frozen product that uses a microwave crisping pocket to reheat the pies. Hence came the term: Pocket Pies, the microwave pie with the oven-baked crust.

Today, Crikey’s Original Australian Pies has grown into an exciting, innovative company. Our new USDA plant still produces pies using the same family recipe and family values are still implemented into all of our business practices.
